Fantasy football isn’t a matter of life and death.
It’s way more important than that.
And for Stoke fan Ray Tait last weekend was as dramatic as they come in footballing terms.

The Potters’ 10-year stay in the Premier League came to an end after their relegation was finally confirmed by a desperate defeat to Crystal Palace last Saturday.
For 99.999% of Stoke fans it would have made for a purely miserable weekend.
But Ray only went and won Dream Team Weekender, pocketing the sizeable £10k jackpot in the process.
“It ended up a very good weekend,” Ray told us.
“Our [Stoke’s] fate was sealed a long time ago so it was immaterial really.”
So for the burning question… would you rather win £10k or your team stayed in the Premier League?
“Probably the £10k! I’m looking forward to some away games next year and this will fund it!” Ray added.
“My daughters are already badgering me about holiday clothes.
“When you’ve got two daughters money doesn’t go very far to be honest!”
So how did Ray do it?
Well his Weekender side was one of the more obscure we’ve seen this season, packed to the brim with lesser lights rather than the traditional big hitters.
He backed a Bournemouth defence to shine against Swansea, which they did, and then Andre Gray to score against Newcastle… which he did.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was his big hitter after the Arsenal striker bagged two goals, an assist and the Star Man award against Burnley.
Ray finished with a total of 63 points, two ahead of his nearest competitors to claim victory.
So a weekend that started with heartbreak ended very much in happiness.
So what’s Weekender all about? And how do you get involved?
Well, all you need to do is pick SEVEN players from the upcoming Saturday and Sunday games, with no transfer budget and no limit to the number of players you can pick from one club.
It’s free to enter and there’s even a rather snazzy £10k jackpot to be won this weekend – the last weekend of the season.
