It really is that simple.

And as we all know fantasy football is a game of thrills and spills – just ask Ralph Pratt.

Welsh Spurs fan Ralph prevailed in arguably the trickiest Weekender edition of the season so far, trumping thousands of others over FA Cup third round weekend.

Picking your side takes even more thought than usual given the differing attitudes to cup competitions.

But Ralph, who lives in Newport, absolutely nailed his selection and totalled up a massive 75 points:

Even more satisfying for Ralph was the contribution of his beloved Spurs boys in clinching him that £5k jackpot, particularly Jan Vertonghen’s first club goal in FOUR YEARS during the win over AFC Wimbledon.

He told us: “It wasn’t until sort of mid afternoon that it occurred to me check what was going on.

“Everything went to form but Vertonghen scored and that was a rarity.”

Ralph is a regular Weekender player, missing it just once this season, and admits he has his favourites when picking his side.

“You can’t ignore Harry Kane at the moment, when he’s playing he’s the man,” he added.

“I went for Aguero this week because I was aware Jesus was injured so he was also nailed on.”

Ralph, after planning some holidays with his winnings, is now looking forward to his ‘dream’ FA Cup fourth round draw between Spurs and local side Newport County.
