DREAM TEAM POINTS: Man United 1 Spurs 0

United keep the pressure on City, while Spurs looked light up-front without Harry Kane

Manchester United put their defeat against Huddersfield last weekend behind them by beating fellow title-contenders Tottenham at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial’s strike on the 81st minute was enough to see off a resolute Spurs side – who were clearly pining for talisman striker Harry Kane.

The Frenchman came off the bench to score with less than 10 minutes to go, meaning United have now scored 10 goals in the last 10 minutes of Premier League games this season – accouting for an impressive 43% of their total.

Are we back to the old Fergie-time days of United scoring late winners?

You better believe it.

Keeping with United’s theme of old, super sub Martial has now notched four goals from the bench this season.

He’s not quite the new Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, but he’s getting there.

Despite the splash and dash manner of the win, Jose Mourinho will be pleased with United’s performance, which sees them keep the pressure on pace-setters Man City in the title race.

Spurs were missing Harry Kane

Spurs, on the other hand, will leave Old Trafford feeling very disappointed, with Dele Alli the man to go closest to scoring for the North Londoners.

They really do miss Kane, don’t they?
