Another day, another HUGE win for Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side ran riot against Watford, with Sergio Aguero scoring a terrific hat-trick and notching an assist in a fantastic 6-0 win.
And by doing so, the Argentinian has surpassed an impressive milestone of 200 goals in European top-flight football, having hit 74 during his time with Atletico Madrid and 128 (and counting) for City.
Coupled with City’s 5-0 demolition of Liverpool last weekend and their 4-0 win over Feyenoord in the Champions League, Guardiola’s men have now scored 15 goals and conceded none in their last three games.
Not only were they lethal in front of goal today, but patient and precise in possession.
It was truly delightful to watch (unless you’re a Watford fan, that is).
Gabriel Jesus was among the goals yet again, with Nicolas Otamendi heading home from a corner and Raheem Sterling burying a penalty late-on.
But it was Aguero was deserves all the plaudits.
The goal machine became the Premier League’s highest scoring non-European player last weekend when he netted against Liverpool, and is now closing in on Alan Shearer’s record of 11 hat-tricks in the top-flight following his trio of goals today.
This guy is simply sublime.
