Premier League fantasy football: Who makes our best Under-21 XI of the season?

With the Premier League season done and dusted, we look back at the division's best performers under the age of 21 on Dream Team

GOALKEEPER

With that boyish face, it’s easy to mistake Jordan Pickford for a much younger man

OK, so we’ve cheated a bit here, but we have our reasons.

At the grand old age of 23, Jordan Pickford (60 points) shouldn’t be in this XI, but with no points scoring goalkeepers under the age of 21, we panicked.

To be fair, we’d definitely ask this young man for his ID if he tried to walk into our nightclub – just look at that boyish face!

Hector Bellerin (119 points) turned 22 in March but is already one of the most coveted young full-backs in Europe.

Alongside the Arsenal right-back is Chelsea’s Nathan Ake (66 points), with the seldom-seen Luke Shaw (68) and Rob Holding (59 points) completing our fairly solid back-four.

MIDFIELDER

Seeing Spurs star Dele Alli (219 points) will hardly surprise you with the season he’s had, and alongside him in our three-man midfield is Man City’s German hotshot Leroy Sane (107 points), who had a simply brilliant second-half to the season.

Continuing the theme of exciting attacking talent is Leicester’s Demarai Gray (44 points).

ATTACK

Here’s where it gets tasty, with Marcus Rashford (114 points) joined by his Man United teammate Anthony Martial (108 points) and City’s newest hero Gabriel Jesus (74).

Three to watch next season, surely?
