Thousands of trick-or-treaters are preparing to hit the streets tonight dressed as Dejan Lovren in what is set to be a terrifying Halloween night for Liverpool fans and goalkeepers everywhere.
Costumes of the Croatian defender have sold out in dozens of fancy dress shops across the country with revellers desperate to appear as scary as possible.
Even the mere mention of 28-year-old Lovren’s defending is enough to make the blood run cold in most of us.
So the thought of a swarm of Lovrens running amok in the street may be enough to convince some to keep their doors firmly closed and double-locked all evening.
Experienced trick-or-treater, Lee Satchell, told us: “I thought long and hard about what would be the scariest costume this year.
“The clown from the IT movie would have been good, Donald Trump was another option, but in the end it had to be Lovren.
“Have you ever tried watching the highlights of Spurs v Liverpool on your own with the lights off? It’s enough to give you nightmares for days!”
Police have warned anyone planning on dressing up as the Liverpool defender to stay away from Jurgen Klopp and Simon Mignolet’s houses as they could suffer a potentially fatal shock if they were to answer the door to multiple Lovrens.
Elsewhere, many young women are trading in the traditional ‘sexy cat’ outfits in favour of ‘sexy Kevin De Bruyne’ outfits following the Belgian’s eye-catching displays this season.
