Leonid Slutsky is a busy man.
Not only is he constantly laughing off jokes about his name, he’s also the manager of CSKA Moscow AND Russia.
The former goalkeeper who, according to legend had to give up football when he injured his knee falling out of a tree while trying to rescue a neighbour’s cat, has been in charge of the national side since Fabio Capello was sacked in August.
But he retained his role as CSKA boss and, before a crucial match against Zenit St, Petersburg, announced Igo Denisov would start for his side.
The only problem?
Denisov plays for rivals Dynamo Moscow, not CSKA…
Laughing, he said…
It would have been nice to have him for that game, though.
