Anyone who thought Turkey was a place footballers go to retire quietly, a la Robin van Perise, is most definitely mistaken.

Trabzonspor finished with seven players, one number short of the magic six needed to abandon the game.
The fun all started when Galatasaray were awarded an 89th minute penalty with the scores tied on 1-1.
Luis Pedro Cavanda, whose foul led to the awarding of the penalty, saw red, before his team-mate Salih Dursun followed him down the tunnel.
Dursun picked up the referees red card and flashed it at the ref, who failed to see the funny side. Sound familiar?
Selcuk Inan held his nerve to score the penalty and give Gala the win.
Just another average day in the Turkish Super Lig.
