Losing Miroslav Klose has clearly hit Lazio fans hard. The club only managed to shift 11 season tickets on the opening day of sales.
The shockingly low numbers were reported by La Gazetta dello Sport and don’t bode well for the new campaign.
Last season Lazio sold a record low 12,800 season tickets for the Stadio Olimpico, a ground which can hold nearly 80,000 at capacity.

Lazio supporters are fed up with club president Claudio Lotito following 16 seasons without a league title and the bundled appointment and resignation of Marcelo Bielsa.
The club also faces losing star player Antonio Candreva with Chelsea, Inter and Napoli said to be chasing the Italy international.
Felipe Anderson and Keita Balde could also be heading towards the exit door as Lazio prepare for a season without European football.
But no matter how badly it goes at least it will never be boring at Lazio with Ravel Morrison in the squad.
It’s just a shame no one will be there to see it.
