Cristiano Ronaldo rubbishes rumours about his weekly workout routine

Cristiano Ronaldo is, without doubt, the greatest athlete to ever grace the game.

Ronaldo’s transformation from scrawny teenager into relentless machine has been sensational and has provided the platform to his remarkable success.

The four-time Ballon d’Or winner is a well-known teetotaller after watching both his father and brother struggle with alcoholism.



So his washboard abs are perhaps unsurprising.

But Ronaldo has moved to quash rumours that he does an obscene amount of sit-ups every day to keep them in prime condition.

While at a press event promoting CR7 fitness, the 31-year-old downplayed the amount a bit, saying: “It’s not true that I do 3,000 sit-ups every day.

“I usually train four or five times a week with 200 or 300 sit-ups.

“It’s not good to do too much because you can have problems with low back pain.”

Ronaldo has scored 26 goals in all competitions this season with Real Madrid chasing glory both domestically and in the Champions League.
