Cristiano Ronaldo is trying to settle the biggest debate in football.
With his beard.
That’s right, the Portuguese star has thrown shade to his eternal rival Lionel Messi through the medium of facial hair.
Football, you will never stop entertaining us.
After bagging three goals and announcing himself to the World Cup against Spain, Ronaldo was raring to go against Morocco and add to his goal-laden tournament.
And it did not take long.
CR7 nodded home from a corner just four minutes into the game to put himself clear at the top of the Golden Boot charts.
But what got everyone talking was that it appears Ronaldo has grown a goatee beard to tell everyone that he is the true greatest of all time.
With Messi appearing in a photo flanked with real life goats this week, Ronaldo had to go one step further to remind everyone who’s the man. At least in his head.
But amazingly, this isn’t even the first time this tournament he has waded in to the GOAT debate.
During that hat-trick against Spain, Ronaldo celebrated by stroking his chin – an act many people thought was pretending to stroke goat whiskers.
We’re talking about the two best footballers of a generation battling it out to be called the greatest of all time using goats as chess pieces.
We live in a strange world.
