Emmanuel Adebayor’s nephew showed quality runs in the family with a wonder strike straight from kick-off.
Adebayor might winding down his career with another mega pay packet in Turkey’s top flight.
But family member Alex Harlley proved he may have plenty still ahead of him with his screamer for Atlanta Silverbacks.
Harlley, 24, and his team-mates were facing SC United Bantams in the US Open Cup.
They were cruising, in a 3-0, lead when Bantams pulled one back with just over ten minutes to go.
A team-mate of the Silverback then slid a pass back to him, and Harlley smashed a stunning effort that from inside his own half that flew just under the bar of the keeper.
Meanwhile, Harlley’s uncle has been made an impressive start to life in Turkey.
Former Arsenal, Man City, Spurs and Palace striker Adebayor signed for Istanbul Basaksehir at the end of January.
The striker, now 33, is believed to have an 18-month deal for the Turkish club, who have been a surprise package in this season’s Super Lig.
Istanbul BB are just two points behind leaders Besiktas with two games left.
And Adebayor has helped them maintain their title charge with six goals in eight games.
Three of those came in a stunning 4-0 over Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray.
