This is what would happen if every La Liga team had their very own Lionel Messi in FIFA 17

Would Barcelona be equally as successful or would another lesser dominant force emerge from the shadows?

Barcelona’s success over the past decade isn’t just down to one player – but Lionel Messi has definitely played a big part in it.

So, would would happen if every team in La Liga had their very own version of Messi?

Would Barcelona be equally as successful or would another lesser dominant force emerge from the shadows?

YouTuber Rich Leigh decided to find out and used FIFA 17 Career mode to insert ‘Messis’ into each La Liga team.

A few games in and it’s Real Madrid who are at the top of the table.

However, given the fact they now have Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi in there, this is hardly surprising.

One shock inclusion in the top four, though, is Granada, who are just three points off Atletico Madrid.

So, how did each Messi do?

Surprisingly, it wasn’t the Los Blancos or Barca Messi that performed best.

In fact it was the Athletic Bilbao Argentine who stole the show, with a solid 15 goals in 28 appearances.

At the other end of the spectrum, Real Sociedad Messi only managed to bag five goals from 35 appearances, while Real Sporting de Gijón S.A.D scored one poultry goal in 24 run outs.

Real Madrid went on to win the title – topping the table with 83 points.

Sevilla came second with 72 with Atletico nipping at their heels with 71.

Barcelona, home of the original Messi, had to make do with seventh – some 20 points of the league winners.

So, there you have it.

If every team had their own Messi the La Liga table would definitely have a bit of a reshuffle.

But given the fact that it would add even more firepower to an already incredible Los Blancos outfit, they’d emerge as the dominant force.
