There’s something very different about Lionel Messi’s latest FIFA Ultimate Team card

Off the back of a brilliant performance during El Clasico, EA have given the Argentine a new Hero card - with a twist

Lionel Messi put in a virtuoso performance during El Clasico this week – scoring his 500th goal for Barcelona.

It was no surprise, then, that the Argentine, 29, featured in the EA Sports Team of the Week – which sees a host of players receive FIFA 17 upgrades off the back of their form.

But Messi’s new 96-rated Hero card has something very special about it.

For the first time ever on FIFA Ultimate Team the Argentina ace has been classified as a CAM – despite the fact all his other cards have him down as a right wing (RW).

Still, with his 92 pace, 95 shooting, 91 passing and 99 dribbling – he’s easily the best CAM in the game.

So, how much is this card going for?

According to Futbin, expect to pay upwards of 6,000,000 coins.

Those with the funds will likely snap up this version of the Barcelona ace, pronto – that’s if they can find him.

For those keen to have Messi in their team, the standard card – where he’s a RW – costs around 700,000 coins – and while it won’t be as good, he definitely won’t disappoint.
