What would happen if the oldest team in FIFA 18 played the youngest?
Well, YouTuber BMOnus has found out… and it’s just as interesting as you’d think.
The youngest team, playing as Wolves, contains players who were all born in the late 90s, so they’re all between 16-19 years old or so.
Their starting line up includes the likes of PSG starlet Kylian Mbappe, upcoming star Ezequiel Barco and wonder keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The oldest team, meanwhile – playing as Aston Villa, is made of players well into their 30s.
Their line up boasts the likes of David Villa upfront and Andrea Pirlo in the middle – the latter of which has recently announced his retirement.
Another Italian veteran, Gianluigi Buffon, is between the sticks.
So, who comes out on top?
The YouTuber put both teams in to Career Mode and simmed the season, with the winner being the team that finished higher.
Against all odds, the older team came out on top – and even managed to win the league.
The youngsters didn’t do badly either – coming third.
Villa was crowd the league’s top scorer – netting an incredible 24 goals. Not bad for the 35-year-old Spaniard.
Mbappe, meanwhile, was the main driving force for Wolves – netting 18.
Villa and Mbappe also topped the assists – with 10 apiece. Sadly, Pirlo, didn’t make the top 15.
So, there you have it – experience really does trump youth. On FIFA, anyway.
