DRAMATIC footage has emerged showing ‘Bananaman’ chasing down a drunk
streaker in Birmingham city centre.
The reveller – in fancy dress as the cartoon superhero – is seen stopping
traffic as the naked man runs out in front of cars and buses.
The man runs up and down the road to the sound of cheers from Saturday night
revellers – at one point even trying to get back into a pub from which he
was earlier ejected.
But the streaker’s rampage around the city’s busy Broad Street area came to an
abrupt end when police arrived on the scene.
He sees the cars approach and makes good his escape down the road, but was
later cornered in a nearby alley and arrested.
Cops said he spent the night sobering up in the cells and was forced to pay a
penalty for being drunk and disorderly.
