FOR most football fans, switching allegiance to another club is absolutely unthinkable.
To leave your own team to support that club’s biggest rival however is utterly impossible… or is it?
During this weekend’s North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham, a pub full of supporters were forced into living their worst nightmare.

Gunners and Spurs fans were both subjected to a social experiment, courtesy of Green Flag, being hypnotised into supporting their fiercest rivals for one of the biggest games of the season.
Fans from each side were spotted as easy targets before the game and tricked into swapping sides for the all-important second half.
Midway through the game the two unlucky die-hards were led to believe they supported their bitter rivals.
And the results are truly hilarious with the Arsenal fan ecstatic at his side’s loss – despite Spurs finishing above the Gunners for the first time since 1995.
Following the 2-0 win, the Gooner-turned-Spurs supporter – all the while wearing an Arsenal top – bizarrely claimed: “We turned up.
“We were all over them in every department. Easy.”
He was then ‘brought back to life’ and looked somewhat sheepish… He’ll never be able to watch his team in the same way again.
On the experiment, Dan Titley, head of marketing at Green Flag, said: “It’s clear we’re a passionate nation when it comes to football, but how much the UK public are prepared to give up for their team is incredible.
“The North London derby switching experiment is set out to show just how easy it is to switch – even in situations when switching isn’t necessarily OK.”
