Tributes pour in for Derry captain Ryan McBride who died suddenly on Sunday
Tributes have been pouring in from far and wide after Derry City captain Ryan McBride passed away suddenly on Sunday.
The 27-year-old was found dead in his bedroom just a day after leading the League of Ireland Premier Division side to a 4-0 victory over Drogheda United.
The cause of death is not yet known.

The Football Association of Ireland tweeted on Sunday: “Thoughts tonight with the family of Ryan McBride and everyone involved with Derry City FC.”
McBride was an extremely popular figure with both his boyhood club and across the Irish league.
The defender spent his entire career with Derry City, spanning six years of service, and once said: “Other footballers have dreams of going across the water…but my dream as a boy was to play for Derry.”
