But Real’s radar has so far not turned towards the Lion cubs.

Instead their main focus seems to be on Lyon wivewire Gouiri, 17 who set the European U-17 Championships alight with a record eight goals.

Gouiri is already being mentioned in France in the same breath as Mbappe.

The 18-year-old sensation left French champions Monaco for a season’s loan at Paris Saint-Germain ahead of a £166million permanent switch in May 2018.

And Marca say Real believe they are in a strong position to land Gouiri as they have a positive relationship with Lyon.

The Ligue 1 side bought Real’s Dominican Republic frontman Mariano over the summer.

Real are increasingly keen to land some hot young talent of their own, especially as their main man Cristiano Ronaldo is now 32 and PSG seem able and willing to outbid Europe’s more traditional giants for established players.

Palmeiras starlet Alan has also impressed the Spaniards during the U-17 tournament in India.

Alan’s agent Juan Figer reportedly met Real chiefs at their Bernabeu stadium in the spring as the first tentative step towards making an offer to his Brazilian club.

Finally, Valencia’s Torres is the most obvious target for Zinedine Zidane’s men.

Torres’ current club are said to have lined him up for his La Liga debut when he returns from the cup.

And Valencia’s main hope this season will be to tie him to a long contract.

His current release clause is only thought to be around £7.1m.
