Diego Costa could reportedly seal a shock loan move to Besiktas this week.
The Chelsea misfit failed to secure his dream return to Atletico Madrid last month.
But Costa could yet escape Antonio Conte’s clutches by moving to Turkey on a short-term basis.
Reports in Spain via Football London claim Besiktas are ready to move for the striker before the Super Lig’s transfer window slams shut on Friday.
They’ve already made a big-name signing in former Real Madrid centre-back Pepe.
And club chiefs believe signing Costa on loan would work out well for all parties.
It was claimed on Tuesday that he’d returned to London from a self-imposed exile in Brazil.
And teammates were apparently confident Costa would bury the hatchet with Chelsea, start to train with their development squad and accept any punishment coming his way.
But he may now be avoiding a Cobham return after all, although he’ll have to visit at some point if he wants to collect his car.
SunSport exclusively revealed on Wednesday that Costa’s luxury motor has been moved out of the senior squad’s car park and into the development squad zone.
It’s the latest move from Conte which suggests that Costa has absolutely no future under him at Stamford Bridge, no matter what the circumstances.
