Man City will regret this is a few years’ time.
The Eastlands club have allowed 17-year-old wonderkid Jadon Sancho to join Borussia Dortmund for £9million.
Sancho has scored 13 goals in 16 games for England Under-17s and was part of City’s trio of highly-rated youngsters that also included Phil Foden and Brahim Diaz.
The starlet recently ditched training in favour or spending time in London in a bid to force through a move after growing frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities.
Sancho rejected a new £30,000-a-week contract from City earlier this month.
Spurs tried to poach him as part of the Kyle Walker deal but Guardiola did not want to lose Sancho to a title rival.
The signing continues Dortmund’s promotion of youth and manager Peter Bosz has given Sancho an immediate show of faith by handing him the No7 shirt.
Dortmund’s No7 was previously worn by Ousmane Dembele, who now wears the No11 shirt recently vacated by Neymar at Barcelona.
Shinji Kagawa, Robert Lewandowski, Patrick Berger and Steffan Freund have all also worn the yellow No7 shirt.
The Westfalenstadion is the perfect platform for Sancho to develop.
Which is a good thing for England fans considering he’s going to win us the 2022 World Cup…
