Shokdran Mustafi is urging Arsenal to allow his potential switch to Inter Milan to go through, according to reports.
The Gunners defender, who only joined last summer, wants a move to the Serie A side and is thought to have agreed personal terms with them.
Inter are also thought to be keen on Manchester City flop Eliaquim Mangala.
But they look set to land Mustafi – although there remains some disagreements about the term of his proposed move.
Inter want to take Mustafi on loan.
While Arsenal are thought to be interested in a permanent transfer only.
Mustafi won the FA Cup with Arsenal last season but his future has come into doubt recently.
And, when asked about Mustafi, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger kept his cards very close to his chest – and didn’t rule out an impending move.
Wenger said: “It’s difficult for me to speak about any individual cases because we are now in the final seven days of the transfer market.
“It’s always very difficult to predict what will happen there.
“You have to make quick and sharp decisions, and you cannot plan that and come out in the press conference with how you will respond to any solicitation.”
