Arsenal are reportedly stepping up their interest in Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado after missing out on Thomas Lemar.
Calcio Mercato claims Arsene Wenger is keen on bringing Juventus winger Cuadrado back to the Premier League despite the Colombian enduring a dismal six months while playing at Stamford Bridge.
Cuadrado has spent the last two years on loan in Turin and made his move from Chelsea permanent in May this year.
However, Juventus are open to selling him and are ready to entertain any offers put forward for his signature.
Arsenal’s top target was previously Lemar, but Monaco made it clear they had no intention of selling him after already offloading a couple of key players.
And it now means Cuadrado is the Gunners’ new top target, with the 29-year-old also able to play as a forward or a wing-back.
However, Arsenal apparently face stiff competition from Roma and Inter Milan.
Roma want a new wide-man in the Italian capital and have turned their attention to Cuadrado after failing to prise Riyad Mahrez away from Leicester City.
While Inter have made a number of new captures already this summer and feel that Cuadrado fits the bill perfectly.
Whether the ace fancies a move back to England remains to be seen.
But with a number of offers on the table in Italy, Arsenal may not have it all their own way.
