ARSENAL are reportedly set to revive their efforts to sign Portugal star William Carvalho.
Arsene Wenger is believed to have made the Sporting Lisbon ace his top target as he aims to strengthen his midfield.
Portuguese news outlet Record claims that the Gunners are about to step-up their interest in the £27million-rated Carvalho.
The defensive midfielder, 25, has long been linked with a move to England as a number of Premier League clubs watched his progress.
And now he seems to be right back on the agenda for Wenger and Arsenal.

The North London side could find themselves short in the middle of the park as Jack Wilshere looks set to depart for either West Ham or Italian Serie A outfit Sampdoria.
They also accepted a £10m bid from Leicester for Mohamed Elneny, although the Egyptian rejected the move.
That seems to suggest that Wenger sees that area as a priority and has identified Carvalho as the man he wants.
He came close to tying up a move for him two years ago but was put off by Sporting’s demand for £35m.
The Emirates chief also remains confident of adding Monaco’s Thomas Lemar to his squad this summer.
Arsenal have had several bids rejected for the winger as the French champions hold out for a reported £80m.
But the Gunners are confident that they will lower their demands and manage to get a deal over the line.
Wenger has already bolstered his squad with club-record signing Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
And that followed his capture of Bosnia and Herzegovina international left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke on a free transfer.
