Forget Jorge Mendes, Fabio Borini’s agent is the real MVP.

Borini will be joining the likes of Philippe Senderos and Urby Emanuelson as the players you’ll have completely forgotten played for Milan in two years.

The 26-year-old moved to Sunderland on a permanent transfer from Liverpool in 2015, having scored seven goals in 32 Premier League outings during a season-long loan.

But as the goals dried up and the injuries got worse Borini found himself struggling for form and confidence, with Sunderland relegated from the Premier League last season.

Six goals in his last two seasons, only one of which came during the last campaign, are hardly figures that are going to get Milan supporters off their seat.

Borini was more successful during his time in Serie A, scoring nine goals in 24 games for Roma during the 2011/12 season.

Despite never having scored more than nine league goals in a single campaing he’ll now have played for Chelsea, Roma, Liverpool and Italy, with Milan set to follow.

Milan have been incredibly active in the transfer window this summer as Vincenzo Montella looks to improve upon last season’s sixth placed finish.

Andre Silva, Ricardo Rodriguez, Mateo Mussachio and Franck Kessie have all been signed, with Milan also reportedly chasing James Rodriguez.

Fabio will fit right in, then.
