The summer transfer window is rolling on folks, with Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski supposedly set for a sensational move to the Premier League next season.
Chelsea and Manchester United are thought to be sniffing ’round the forward, after he claimed to be “disappointed” at Bayern over a perceived lack of support in his hunt to win last season’s golden boot award in the Bundesliga.
The Polish striker notched 30 goals last term, but missed out on the top-scorer gong to Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang by a single goal.
Speaking to the Polish Super-Express, he said: “I was not really happy with how my team helped me. I was annoyed and disappointed with the team’s attitude.
The player’s agent Maik Barthel further fuelled the fire by speaking to German magazinr Kicker: “Robert told me that he got no support and that the coach gave no call to help him win the top-scorer title in the last game.
“He was disappointed as I have ever seen him before.”
And according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, Lewandowsi wants a fresh start in England, with London his preferred choice.
Taking to Twitter, Balague said that Chelsea and United have spoken to Lewandowski’s representatives over a potential move, with the Stamford Bridge club front-runners to secure the 28-year-old.
UPDATE Bayern have since denied rumours Lewandowski wants to leave, with Sky Sports HQ tweeting:
However, United are still thought to be very keen on landing him and held talks with his agent on Tuesday.
