Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is fighting to sign £61million-rated Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon forward, 27, has been chased by Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United to name a few this summer.
However, after PSG opted to “pull the plug” on the deal, a host of Premier League sides have been handed a massive boost.
Aubameyang is under contract at the Westfalenstadion until 2020, but is widely expected to finally call it a day at Dortmund this summer.
Reds chief Klopp is hoping to reunite with the Gabon international as he looks for a fresh out-and-out striker.
The German wants to partner Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana with Aubameyang.
On top of that, Liverpool have edged ever closer to landing Roma winger Mohamed Salah in a £35m deal.
After PSG pulled out of the deal Le Parisien reported that the Reds – preparing for life back in the Champions League – were in prime position to land Aubameyang’s signature.
The Dortmund star was the top scorer in the Bundesliga last season, scoring 31 times in just 31 league games.
In all competitions for club and country, Aubameyang scored an incredible 43 goals in the 2016-17 season.
The 55-cap international has been at Dortmund – who recently lost boss Thomas Tuchel – since 2013, playing 189 times for the German side, scoring 120 times.
Prior to his spell in Germany, Aubameyang spent three seasons at Saint-Etienne.
