There are three certainties in life; death, taxes and Liverpool being linked with Southampton players.
And that ongoing tradition is showing no signs of relenting according to The Times.
That’s because despite the Reds’ seemingly withdrawing their interest in Saints defender Virgil van Dijk last week, they’re now monitoring Dusan Tadic instead.
Van Dijk had indicated he was keen on a move to Anfield but Liverpool were forced to back out of a deal after accusations of wrongdoing and tapping up by Southampton.
But Duncan Castles in The Times believes that hairy altercation hasn’t stopped Jurgen Klopp from pursuing other Saints stars, with Tadic now on the radar.
Tadic has a release clause of just £13m and Klopp believes he would be an ideal addition to bolster their attacking options ahead of their venture into Champions League football next season.
The Serbian playmaker reportedly grew disillusioned with life on the south coast under Claude Puel and would welcome the move.
West Ham, like they appear to be with every player at the moment, are also showing an interest in Tadic.
The 28-year-old has been involved in 42 goals in three seasons since moving to England from Twente as Adam Lallana’s replacement.
Could he now be joining Lallana at Anfield this summer?
