Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has reportedly finalised a move to Manchester City.
According to reports in the Chilean’s homeland, Pep Guardiola has won the race to snap up the striker.
The 28-year-old has been in a stand-off with the Gunners after refusing to sign a new deal.
His current contract expires next summer and Arsenal will need to sell this summer if they want to command any sort of fee for their talisman.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich had also been linked with a move for the hitman.
However, much-respected Chilean journalist Fernando Solabarrieta has dropped the bombshell that he is about to join City.
Sanchez is currently on international duty as he and his side prepare for the Confederations Cup.
He provided a super assist for QPR wing-back Mauricio Isla to net the opener in a 1-1 draw with Russia on Friday.
Arsene Wenger, who has agreed a new two-year contract to remain as Arsenal manager, is adamant the club do not have to sell their best players.
They will be loath to lose one of their key men to a domestic rival – but may decide to cash in should the right offer arrive.
Sanchez has enjoyed another fine campaign at the Emirates despite his side’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
He scored in their 2-1 FA Cup Final victory over Chelsea at Wembley last month.
Sanchez scored 30 goals in 51 appearances to finish as the Gunners’ top scorer.
