Barcelona are eyeing an audacious move for Bayern Munich star Douglas Costa but will face competition from Manchester United, Juventus and Tottenham.

The Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order under Carlo Ancelotti and could be in line to leave Germany after just two seasons.

Spanish outlet Sport claim new Barca boss Ernesto Valverde wants more pace on the flanks at the Nou Camp next season and has identified the former Shakhtar Donetsk man.

Costa has cut a frustrated figure all season and started just 14 Bundesliga games last term.

The winger claimed he was not happy at Bayern and had huge offers from China and big clubs around Europe.

He stated he will revisit the offers on the table as he considers a move away from Bavaria.

The 26-year-old is valued at around £30million and the Catalan giants could push ahead of of Manchester United and Tottenham, who are monitoring the situation.
