Chelsea have been in talks with Lyon’s president over their midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to reports.
Tolisso had been reported to be on his way to Arsenal in the summer but their failure to reach the Champions League has cast doubt over the move.
And now L’Equipe are claiming Jean-Michel Aulas was in London and discussed a deal for Tolisso with the Blues.
The report claims any deal could also involve the Ligue 1 side getting Kurt Zouma on loan or even buying Bertrand Traore.
Tolisso has caught the attention of a number of top clubs across Europe having become the key player in the Lyon midfield.
The 22-year-old snubbed the chance to sign for ambitious Serie A club Napoli last summer in favour of continuing his development as a player.
And after netting eight goals from midfield and getting five assists this season interest has been sparked in the Frenchman.
Antonio Conte is looking for reinforcements after losing both Oscar and John Obi Mikel to the Chinese Super League.
While Arsene Wenger is said to want a new heartbeat in the centre of his Gunners team.
Juventus have also shown an interest in Tolisso and were reported to be ready to pay £36million for him.
