Midfielder Wilshere only has 12 months remaining on his contract with the Gunners.

And he has yet to agree terms on a new deal with Arsene Wenger’s men.

The England international is currently recovering from a broken leg picked up for the Cherries against Tottenham.

But he was sent out to Dubai to complete his rehab rather than return to the club’s London Colney training complex.

Wilshere has fallen well down the pecking order at the Emirates and the announcement of Wenger’s two-year contract extension has left him worried about his future, according to the Daily Mirror.

Arsenal could well offer the star an extension to his deal.

However, that is likely to only be a move to protect his market value.

West Ham are one of the clubs that have been monitoring his situation closely.

Arsenal may offer Wilshere a new deal to protect his value rather than allow him to leave on a free transfer next year.

West Ham are watching developments closely with Pep Guardiola also believed to be interested in bringing him to Manchester City.
