Real Madrid are aiming to sign two Galacticos this summer out of shortlist of five of Europe’s hottest transfer targets.
Real want to spend big over the close season, and according to Sky Sports expert Guillem Balague they want two from Paulo Dybala, Robert Lewandowski, David de Gea, Kylian Mbappe or Antoine Griezman.
The Spanish giants want to establish themselves as the stand-out team in Europe, as they look to become the first team to win back-to-back Champions Leagues.
If they can follow that up by signing a couple of the most sought-after players around it would leave them with a fearsome squad going into the next few seasons.
The much-vaunted BBC attacking unit of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo looks certain to be broken up if Real get their way.
For Real appear intent on providing a fresh injection of attacking talent to their squad in an effort to stamp their dominance on La Liga and European football.
Balague, speaking on Sky Sports News, said: “Real Madrid want two ‘Galaticos’ in the summer; they want two of Paulo Dybala, Robert Lewandowski, David de Gea, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.
“Let’s see what they get, but if that happens then the BBC will be destroyed and it will be a case of everybody working hard to get in the line-up.
“Having said that, the one who suffers most will be Karim Benzema, not Bale.
“When Bale is fit he plays. His inconsistency is explained by his injuries.”
Bayern Munich star Lewandowski has long been on the wanted list of Real, but they have been frustrated in their attempts to sign the Poland ace.
If he does finally decide it is time to leave the Bundesliga, then Lewandowski has always retained an interest in moving to the Bernabeu.
More unlikely would appear to be their interest in signing France star Griezmann for bitter Madrid rivals Atletico – especially with Manchester United trying to seal a deal for him.
Monaco ace Mbappe has become one of the hottest properties in world football this season, and Real know they will have to stump up a world record £110million to sign him.
Juventus know they face a fight to keep hold of Argentine striker Dybala, who has helped fire the club to the brink of the Champions League final where they could face Real.
United keeper De Gea is a massive target of Real, and United know they face a battle to convince the Spanish international to reject their advances and stay at Old Trafford.
