Well what do we have here then?
Douglas Costa’s future at Bayern Munich has been cast into doubt in recent weeks, with the Brazilian continuing to stumble over a new deal.
The mercurial winger has fallen down the pecking order in Bavaria with competition for attacking places extremely intense.
Both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are currently regular starters in Bayern’s wide positions, while Kingsley Coman is also on the German giants’ books.
So naturally, being one of the best in his role in the world, he’s being linked with a move to a number of potential destinations this summer.
And his recent Twitter activity has sent Liverpool fans into a bit of a storm.
When a Liverpool supporter tweeted him suggesting a front four of Costa, Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino could be the best in Europe, the Brazilian winger ‘liked it.’
It doesn’t take a lot for a player to send fans into a frenzy these days, so something like this is bound to lead to excitement.
Liverpool are one of the clubs reportedly monitoring Costa’s situation and a chance to unite with Brazil compatriots Coutinho and Firmino would be an attractive proposition.
But the Reds face stiff competition for his signature, with Arsenal and Tottenham both apparently in for him too.
