We’re salivating with glee at the prospect of Chelsea versus Liverpool today, as the summer transfer window’s most aggressively active side takes on the Premier League champions.
But despite the Blues boasting Timo Werner and Kai Havertz among others in their side, our eyes are still firmly placed upon Mohamed Salah – with the Liverpool front man and former Chelsea reject the best source of goals in this one.
CHICKEN TIKKA MO SALAH
Sometimes, we still wonder what could’ve been with Salah at Chelsea.
The Egyptian was never quite give a proper chance at Stamford Bridge and their lack of faith in him eventually saw Liverpool give him a crack, to devastating effect.
Salah has been the Reds main man in recent years and was their attacking linchpin last season when they won their first Prem title, and he’s very much looking to continue where he left off after netting a hat-trick on the opening weekend of the season last time out in a dramatic 4-3 win over Leeds.
He netted two penalties either side of a stunning strike and we imagine he’ll be full of beans in West London this afternoon, with Betway offering the boosted odds of 9/2 on Salah to score first here.
Mohamed Salah to score first (Chelsea v Liverpool)
was 18/5 now 9/2 with Betway
Last week we gently nudged you towards Betway’s boosted treble of Spurs, Copenhagen and Basel all to win their games in the Europa League, and lo and behold they all came in.
Lovely that, isn’t it?
In fact, you could’ve also backed other big(ish) names in the competition, like Rangers, Rosenborg, APOEL, Granada, Galatasaray and Partizan.
All favourites, and they all duly won.
And not braggin’, but we’ve got a handful of vintage football shirts from those aforementioned names, and we know you do too.
