New home kit leaked, Alexandre Lacazette disciplined, and more…

Afternoon, Gooners!

‘Project Restart’ is underway and we now have a tentative date of June 19th for when the season *might* start up again.

The boys are back in training today and rumour has it that Arteta has already lost patience with Mustafi after he was caught out of position a record 68 times…

I don’t know about you lot, but I still get way too excited whenever Arsenal release the new kits for the season ahead.

Well, somehow, next season’s effort from Adidas has already been leaked and it’s now out there for all to see.

My first impressions… I like it! I don’t think it’s quite as strong as our current home kit, but it’s another good one that I’ll almost certainly add to my growing collection of Arsenal kits.

You’ll notice that Fly Emirates have changed their logo slightly so that it now reads ‘Fly Better’ – let’s just hope we can fly up the table a bit next season!

There’s rumours that next season’s away kit will be an all white one – something that I’m sure the noisy lot down the road will have one or two things to say about.

I’ve never been too keen on white Arsenal kits, for obvious reasons, but this Herbert Chapman tribute one from 2007/08 was great.

Whether it’s a transfer rumour or an incident off the pitch, it seems as though Laca just can’t help but make headlines right now.

Our No.9’s latest indiscretion has supposedly left him in hot water with Arteta and the club are now seriously considering whether or not he has a future with us.

Laca was pictured breaching lockdown rules to go out and inhale balloons – something that himself and a number of our players were already warned about in 2018.

I’m disappointed in Laca for doing this, especially at this current time. While his behaviour certainly won’t influence mine, there’s a lot of younger Arsenal fans out there who idolise him and this isn’t setting a very good example to them.

I love Laca as much as anyone, so hopefully he accepts any fine that the club throw at him, apologises, and we can all move on from this and focus on coming back stronger when the season returns.

Love him or loathe him, you simply can’t deny that Ozil has technique that we would all love to have.

Ozil revealed all about his signature party trick, the ‘chop shot’, in a great interview/challenge on Arsenal’s YouTube channel.

It’s very rare that a player reaches the stage in their career where they have a piece of skill named after them, but our No.10 has managed to create something unique to himself.

The ‘chop shot’ is certainly no fluke, we’ve seen Ozil produce it numerous times for us down the years.

Song was a funny old player for us, wasn’t he? He seemed to divide fans right down the middle; some rated him, others didn’t.

I happened to be in the former camp and thought that Song was a dynamic and important midfielder for us for a couple of seasons. Who can forget his almost-telepathic link up with Van Persie?

I remember being very disappointed when he joined Barcelona in 2012 and, well, now we know the reason why he left us.

Song has brutally confessed that his motivation to leave Arsenal was all about the cash, it’s that simple!

A footballer’s career is a short one, so do I blame Song for having this mentality? No, not particularly. Nevertheless, it’s sad to think that the majority of players out there would rather see a nice number in their bank account than actually enjoy their football.
