Man United are in the middle of an intense top four fight at the moment.
Currently occupying sixth place in the Premier League table, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side will be desperate to get the better of West Ham this evening – especially after their recent record of just one win in their last five matches in all competitions.
And it certainly seems luck will be on their side tonight, after referee Graham Scott seemed to get two VERY big decisions wrong in the first half.
After just 10 minutes, West Ham had the ball in the back of David de Gea’s net thanks to an acrobatic strike from Felipe Anderson, only for the goal to be wrongly chalked off for offside.
Having smashed the ball into the top corner from an header down by Javier Hernandez, it appeared the Brazilian was in an offside position and the linesman instantly raised his flag.
But replays show that right-back Diogo Dalot was playing him on.
And it only gets worse.
Merely seven minutes later, Robert Snodgrass was penalised for a clumsy challenge on Juan Mata right on the edge of the area.
It’s up to you whether it was a foul – we’re not too sure, to be honest – but there’s a case as to whether the challenge was inside the area at all.
Either way, the Hammers have every right to be a little p*ssed off as Paul Pogba stepped up to slot home the resulting spot-kick.
