Barcelona fans will be seriously excited about Frenkie De Jong joining their club this summer.
Having burst onto the scene with Ajax last year, the 21-year-old has been hot property ever since, with both Man City and Paris Saint-Germain seriously keen to sign him.
But he’s opted for Barca and the two feel like a match made in heaven.
In fact, the only thing that could make his move even better is if he manages to help knock Real Madrid out of the Champions League this evening.
Up against Los Blancos and 2-1 down from the first-leg, Ajax have stormed into a surprise 2-0 lead at half-time – with the Dutch giants have more-or-less dominating the home side.
Former Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic has been particularly good in the opening 45 minutes, but it’s de Jong who’s really caught the eye.
He’s absolutely bossed it against Madrid’s midfield, and on two occasions the youngster absolutely humiliated two of Madrid’s biggest stars with his footwork.
First up, it was Ballon d’Or holder Luka Modric who was sent for a tumble when trying to tackle the kid.
Then it was Madrid wonderkid Vinicius, with the Brazilian slipping on the turf as he tried to keep up with de Jong’s delicious dummy.
Vinicius wouldn’t last much longer after this, going off with a knee injury soon after.
De Jong certainly does look tailor made for Barcelona, doesn’t he?
