It isn’t fair that the Golden Boot winners take all the plaudits, right?
With that in mind, we are taking a look at the players on the other end of the goal-scoring spectrum.
Without any further ado, here are the ten players who had the most shots without scoring in the Premier League.

10 – Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa – 21 shots
The defensive midfielder was signed in the summer to help sure up The Cottagers’ defence.
With 81 goals conceded, more than anyone else in the Premier League, he clearly didn’t help too much on that front.
The Cameroonian didn’t aid Fulham going forward either, failing to score or even assist, in his 22 games.
9 – Ben Mee – 21 shots
Ben Mee is not a name you would expect to see near any scoring chart – good or bad.
The Burnley defender has had another solid season at the back but hasn’t helped Sean Dyche going forward, taking on 21 shots to no avail.
It has now been 81 Premier League games since Mee last scored.
8 – Alireza Jahanbakhsh – 21 shots
Paul Merson’s nightmare comes in at number eight.
The winger managed 34 goals in 85 appearances with Dutch club, AZ Alkmaar before crossing the North Sea.
He couldn’t bring any of that form to England and joins the list with 21 unsuccessful shots to his name.
7 – Joe Bryan – 21 shots
Fulham’s first season back in the Premier League ended in heartbreak.
There short stint back with the big boys was not aided by Bryan’s 21 unsuccessful shots.
6 -Ben Chilwell – 22 shots
On paper it has been a great season for Chilwell who broke into the England set-up in November.
He played in 36 of Leicester’s Premier League games but no amount of international caps or League appearances keep you off this list.
You can don the Three lions kit all you want, if you take 22 shots without scoring, you can’t call the season a success.
5 – Joe Ralls – 23 shots
Special mention to Ralls who had the perfect chance to get off this list back in December whilst playing West Ham.
The midfielder’s weak penalty was just one of his 23 wasted attempts this season.
4 – Harry Arter – 23 shots
Another Cardiff midfielder comes in with 23 shots.
Whilst at Bournemouth, Arter scored one goal in each of his three seasons in the Premier League to keep his name off this naughty list.
There has been so such luck in South Wales as his unremarkable loan spell ended without a goal.
3 – Mateo Kovacic – 28 shots
The only name from the ‘Big Six’ in this list is Chelsea’s midfielder.
Ross Barkley tended to cut the Croatian’s games short but that’s still no excuse for the World Cup finalist.
The Croatian has played 50 times for Chelsea in all competitions and failed to score one goal.
2 – Laurent Depoitre – 30 shots
It is no shock to see a Huddersfield name near the top of this list.
The Terriers only scored 22 goals in 38 games in their relegation-worthy season.
Depoitre scored six last season but the Belgian, remarkably, never got going this season despite a crazy 30 attempts.
1 – Yves Bissouma – 31 shots
The people’s champ.
Yep, it’s Brighton’s Bissouma who pipped Depoitre to the line.
The midfielder played 28 games and failed to register a goal or an assist in that time.
The Malian midfielder did manage to score in the FA Cup against Bournemouth…
Disappointing.
