The right back has taken on 18 shots without scoring

The Arsenal defender has not had the easiest couple of months.

He is sidelined for the remainder of the season following a knee injury which required surgery.

Worse than that, he finds himself on this list having had 18 bites at the cherry without scoring.

9 – Jonjo Shelvey – 18 shots

No luck so far for Shelvey

Now we all know Shelvey has got a shot on him.

His strike for Swansea against Aston Villa back in 2014 was one of the best the league has seen.

It isn’t 2014 anymore and the Newcastle man needs to find those boots from his days at the Liberty Stadium to get himself off this list.

8 – Harry Arter – 18 shots

20 games and no goals for Arter

The Bounemouth midfielder is on loan at the Welsh side this year.

Not renowned for his goalscoring, Arter has taken on a fair few attempts to no avail this year.

His captain must be furious.

7 – Sean Morrison – 19 shots

Another Cardiff man with 0 goals this campaign

Then again, maybe not…

The Cardiff captain is another Bluebird to make this not-so-glamorous list having taken on one more shot than Arter.

As a central defender, it is a feat in itself that he has managed 19 shots in his 22 games.

6 – Naby Keita – 20 shots

The Liverpool man is not off the mark in the Premier League

Keita was not signed for his goalscoring prowess, more to sure up the midfield.

A midfield which he struggles to get a game in, having only started 11 games.

He has taken on 20 shots in the 18 appearances in the league without getting his name on the score sheet.

5 – Yves Bissouma – 21 shots

He isn’t known for his scoring…

Like Keita for Liverpool, Bissouma signed for Brighton to help sure up the defence, not score goals.

Yet the Malian has clearly been keen to try and get that first Premier League goal, having attempted 21 shots after signing from the French club Lille in the summer.

4 – Mateo Kovacic – 21 shots

He nearly got one against Bournemouth

Who would have thought a former Real Madrid man would be so high on this list?

The Croatian midfielder hit the woodwork last week but can’t seem to find his first Premier League goal.

His midfield rivals at Chelsea- Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus Cheek- both have three.

3 – Christian Atsu – 22 shots

Not a natural finisher

For the FIFA players out there, this one is no surprise.
While Atsu is a dangerous winger with trickery and bags of pace, his finishing leaves a lot to be desired.

His Premier League record is 3 goals in 51 games. Hardly prolific…

2 – Mario Lemina – 22 shots

The Southamton man only managed one goal last season and the midfielder hasn’t improved on his return this season.

Twenty-two shots and no goals- the Saints will need more from their forwards to stay away from the drop this year.

1 – Laurent Depoitre – 28 shots

Jan Siewert can’t even look at him

It is no shock to see a Huddersfield name at the top of this list.

The Terriers have only scored 13 goals in 25 games this year and are surely facing the drop down to the Championship.

Laurent Depoitre scored six last season but the Belgian is remarkably not off the mark this season despite a crazy 28 attempts.
