Sergio Aguero loves a goal against Newcastle.
The Argentinian was at it again against the Magpies at St James’ Park on Tuesday night.
He has David Silva’s new head of hair to thank for his latest strike against the Black and Whites.
Man City will have prayed for an early goal to settle the nerves with the title race looking very tight indeed.
What better way to settle those nerves than a tap-in in the first minute?
In fact, the goal was clocked at 24 seconds, making it the quickest in the league this season.
Following a long diagonal run to the back post, Silva slips as he attempted to control the ball.
To us mere mortals, the chance had gone – the Spaniard is no mere mortal.
Silva, whilst practically on the deck, manged to get his head to the ball and bravely head it back across goal.
Newcastle’s keeper, Martin Dubravka clattered the little midfielder after the ball had gone but Silva came out unscathed.
You could argue that the assist was pure luck, although when you are talking about Silva, you can’t help but think he may well have meant it.
Should Man City reclaim their Premier League title, they will need the pair linking up in a familiar fashion for the rest of the season.
A thing of beauty, or pot luck?
We will let you decide.
