Mauricio Pochettino is expected to name up-and-coming youngsters Harry Kane-Peters and Son Heung-min-Peters in Spurs’ line-up to face Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
The Argentine gaffer has been forced to take drastic measures after being burdened by a striker crisis.
Harry Kane is sidelined through injury, Son Heung-min is away at the Asian Cup, Fernando Llorente is old, and Vincent Janssen is terrible.
In 2017, the club replaced Kyle Walker by promoting Kyle Walker-Peters from the youth team to the first team.
Pochettino will be hoping teenagers Kane-Peters and Son-Peters provide similarly adequate cover for their half-namesakes at Craven Cottage.
Lee Satchell, the club’s unofficial spokesman said: “It’s not an ideal situation, but Poch believes the lads can do a job.
“We considered other options; Fernando Llorente-Peters has been winning a lot of headers in training.
“And Vincent Janssen-Peters can almost get his boots on without help from the coaches, so that’s an improvement.
“Injuries to Moussa Sissoko, Eric Dier and Lucas Moura have caused us additional problems.
“You can probably see where I’m going with this; Sissoko-Peters, Dier-Peters, and Moura-Peters have been called up to train with the first team as cover.”
