Naby Keita and the Premier League has been a slow burning love affair so far.
The little Guinean arrived with a lot of fanfare in the summer after tearing it up in the Bundesliga for a couple of years.
He began well but injuries have plagued him and deprived Liverpool of when of the finest young midfield talents around.
Keita was thrown back into the fold against Burnley in midweek and won Man of the Match, combining some sumptuous touches and slick passing.
And he looks in the mood against Bournemouth again today.
Within three minutes, Keita picked the ball up in his own half and popped it nonchalantly through poor Simon Francis’ legs.
But he wasn’t done there.
Just seconds later, Jefferson Lerma was his next victim.
Keita then gave the Cherries midfielder the eyes, teasing him into a challenge before again casually sliding the ball through them.
Moral of the story?
Keep them closed lads.
