HAVE THAT

Eric Dier just gave Sergio Ramos a dose of his own medicine and it was beautiful

The England midfielder just flew in with the classic hard but legal tackle

This one goes out to you Mo Salah.

Sergio Ramos is a master of the dark arts and his speciality is the aggressive but strictly speaking legal tackles that hurt opponents but keep him on the pitch.

Well, it looks like Eric Dier has been taking note.

Minutes before Raheem Sterling broke his three-year long England goal drought with an emphatic finish Dier drew the biggest cheer from the England fans.

Spain were trying to pass the ball out from the back in typical fashion and it fell to Ramos.

The Spanish captain had already looked somewhat uncertain in possession and Dier took his chance to land an ugly body blow.

It was a beautiful moment.

The Spurs player, who lined up as the holder in England’s midfield, could see Ramos wasn’t in full control from miles off and ran a full 20 yards to get a full head of steam and clear Ramos out on his 160th appearance.

Dier came through like a freight train making perfect contact with the ball before poleaxing his Real Madrid counterpart in a perfectly executed tackle that even Roy Keane would be proud.

Of course in modern football the referee came over to show Dier an early yellow card, to his amazement and confusion.

Everyone knows Ramos is the only man who can get away with challenges like that scot-free.

Be proud young Eric

Dier won’t have to buy a drink in Liverpool for a very long time after sticking that one on Ramos.
