David Beckham is aiming high when it comes to finding a manager for Inter Miami and has reportedly held preliminary talks with Zinedine Zidane.
The former England captain wants to turn his MLS side into a force to be reckoned with and has a mouth-watering wishlist, starting with one of the best managers in the game.
According to the Mirror, talks are already underway between Beckham and the former Real Madrid manager who won three Champions League trophies in a row.
The Frenchman is currently out of work and it’s felt the longer that continues the more likely a reunion with Beckham, whom Zizou played with at the Bernabeu, becomes.
Ironically, Beckham could face competition from his former club Manchester United for Zidane’s services should they part company with Jose Mourinho.
Beckham’s wishlist for his MLS side is an impressive line up of who’s who in football with Lionel Messi another name linked with the club.
He also wants former Manchester United pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney at his club to boost the superstar appeal.
The football legend himself has the appeal that could attract big names to Miami and World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann has already thrown his hat into the ring.
Griezmann, 27, has made it clear he wants to end his career in America and said: “If Beckham wants me in his club, then I’ll go.
“I want to finish my career in the US.”
