Arsenal are reportedly still in talks to sign Argentina forward Christian Pavon.
The Gunners new head of football Raul Sanllehi is leading the charge to bring the Boca Juniors star to the Emirates.
According to Football London, the ex-Barcelona chief has been the one in contact with the South American club rather than head of recruitment Sven Mislintat.

Sanllehi only joined Arsenal in February after spending 16 years at the Nou Camp but has been promoted following Ivan Gazidis’ departure to AC Milan.
Along with Vinai Venkatesham – who has become managing director – he will run things in North London.
And it appears the 22-year-old winger Pavon is his top target.
The ace caught the eye of a number of top European clubs with his impressive displays, which also earned him a World Cup call-up for his country.
Arsenal face a fight to secure his services due to the youngster recently agreeing a new deal – but it holds a hefty a release clause.
Boca president Daniel Angelici said recently: “Pavon stays, signed for four more years.
“The clause is 50 million euros, which was what we wanted to be calm. We wanted to sell it when we understood that it was the necessary moment.”
That means Sanellehi and Arsenal will need to fork out at least £44m to sign the attacker and add him to Unai Emery’s squad.
