Danny Rose has emerged as a transfer target for Marseille, with the sought-after defender exploring his options ahead of the European deadline, according to reports.
The left-back is yet to figure for Tottenham this season, with his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad now under threat.
Southgate names his squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Spain and Switzerland on Thursday.
The Daily Star believe Rose could look for a move away, either permanently or on loan, if he isn’t named in Southgate’s squad.
The 28-year-old has been a bit-part player under manager Mauricio Pochettino ever since criticising the club’s wage structure last year in an exclusive interview with SunSport, and is now very much playing second fiddle to Ben Davies.
Rose, who has been at Spurs for 11 years, has also attracted interest from French giants PSG.
However, manager Pochettino believes Rose will stay at the club, as well as Belgian duo Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele.
