Mario Balotelli looks poised to leave Nice after boss Patrick Vieira confirmed the striker wants to depart the club.
The former New York City FC manager has also claimed he will do everything in his power to help the 28-year-old secure a move away.
Balotelli has just one year left on his deal at the Allianz Riviera, but has no intention of committing his future to the Eaglets.
He played no part in Nice’s 1-0 defeat against newly-promoted Reims in the Ligue 1 season opener on the weekend, after he returned to training two weeks late.
And now Vieira has revealed that the Italian international is seeking an exit away from the club that has rejuvenated his career.
The ex-Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder told Canal+: “It’s going to be very complicated, very difficult, as the player wants to leave.

“What’s important, for me and for the club, is to keep players who want to help the club improve.
“And from the moment Mario has decided he wants to leave, the club has to do what’s necessary to let him leave.”
Balotelli was linked with a switch to join Marseille earlier this summer, but talks are believed to have stalled over a potential transfer.
The former Inter Milan forward has starred for Nice since joining from Liverpool in 2016 – banging in 43 goals in 66 games in all competitions.
