PSG plotting £100m move for Tottenham attacker Christian Eriksen before European transfer windows shuts on August 31

Mauricio Pochettino's star has less than two years remaining on his contract with Premier League side

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly plotting a huge £100million late summer swoop to prise Christian Eriksen away from Tottenham.

The Danish playmaker, 26, is still yet to follow the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in committing his future to the club.

And The Express claim that has alerted Europe’s big guns – including PSG who are planning an offer before the end of the month.

The report also states the Ligue 1 champions made their interest in the star known before the World Cup.

Eriksen is one of Mauricio Pochettino’s main men and Spurs will do everything in their power to retain the ex-Ajax ace.

He scored 14 goals and grabbed 10 assists last season and began the new campaign with another starring role in the 2-1 win at Newcastle on Saturday.

Spurs are desperate to tie him down to a new deal, especially with Real Madrid keen on him becoming Luka Modric’s long-term successor at the Bernabeu.

Eriksen still has two years remaining on his contract in North London.

The transfer window for England, which Spurs became the first top-flight team since its inception not to bring in any summer recruits, shut last week.

But the European one remains open until August 31 and The Express states PSG are ready to offload several fringe men to help finance the package and stay within FFP rules.

New manager Thomas Tuchel is willing to sell Julian Draxler and Angel Di Maria in order to try and bring in Eriksen.

However, Poch has made it clear to Spurs owner Daniel Levy he does not want to lose his attacker.

Even if he does not agree a new deal, the Argentinian boss is determined to keep Eriksen as long as possible.

And despite the speculated huge fee being prepared, Spurs would not be able to spend it on a replacement until at least January.
