It’s business as usual for Liverpool and Mohamed Salah so far.
The Reds are leading at Anfield in their Premier League opener against West Ham, courtesy of the Egyptian King and his front-line buddies.
We have a feeling they’re looking to carry on from where they left off last season, eh?
In fact, with Salah, Sadio Mane and new signing Naby Keita running the show for Jurgen Klopp’s side, it’s fair to say the Hammers looked a little overwhelmed in the early stages of the match.
That was until they got a helping hand from an unlikely source; the referee, Anthony Taylor.
And no, the man in black didn’t make a controversial call.
Instead, he actually got involved with the play, getting in the way of Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum deep in the Liverpool half and accidentally tackling the Dutch midfielder.
I guess it happens, right?
But to his horror, the ball then bounced kindly to Hammers winger Michail Antonio, who played in Marko Arnautovic through on goal.
Luckily, one-on-one with Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson, the Austrian hit his shot just wide of the goal and we imagine Taylor breathed a huge sigh of relief there.
Good thing the folks of Twitter saw the funny side, huh?
