STILL GOT IT

Andres Iniesta just went full Dennis Bergkamp to score his first goal in Japan

The former Barcelona captain is proving that age is just a number

It must be like a walk in the park for him.

We all know that Iniesta will go down as one of the best ever midfielders. That’s just a fact.

And we also all knew that the Spaniard would find playing in the J-League the professional football equivalent of Year 11 vs Year 7. A mismatch.

What we didn’t know however is just how ruthless the 34-year-old would be on his opponents.

Doesn’t he know that some of these men have families?

Iniesta decided to take matters into his own hands and have some fun to score his first goal for Vissel Kobe.

We can’t stop watching this…

It’s just too easy.

Another lovely touch of the magnificent goal is the fact that it was assisted by former Bayern Munich and Arsenal man Lukas Podolski.

The Arsenal connection doesn’t stop there however, with Iniesta’s goal, in particular the turn to put down the defender, reminding us of one legendary Arsenal man.

The Spaniard’s classy effort draws a striking resemblance to Dennis Bergkamp’s famous goal against Newcastle, with the Dutchman’s effort still blowing our minds today.

If this is what we can expect from Iniesta every week in Japan, then where can we get our Vissel Kobe season tickets?

It’s just a shame that we don’t get to see Iniesta on the biggest stage anymore…
